You sit down to write something magnificent — to finally get it out of your head and into words that land. The ideas are there, brilliant ones, they light up your chest when they arrive. The kind no AI prompt in the world could pull out of you, because they're not in any database. They're in your specific, lived, unrepeatable life.
But the blank page stays blank. Because your inbox needs sorting. The desktop folders need reorganising. There is, somewhere, a course you never finished. And that cat hair on the carpet isn't going to hoover itself.
Underneath all of it, a quiet and firm voice asks the question as you are cleaning and sorting your way around — this get-paid-for-who-you-are thing. Is it actually for me?
This is not a book just about a storytelling technique.
It's about something that lives closer than that.
You watch her. The one who seems to have figured it out — the testimonials, the waitlist, the aesthetic that somehow looks effortless. And you think: she's not more talented than me. She's not more experienced. She doesn't even seem to care as much as I do.
But her phone is pinging with Stripe notifications and yours isn't.
You tell yourself you're still figuring it out. Still refining the offer. Still finding the right words. And that's true. But underneath the figuring-out, there's a quieter thought you don't say out loud: what if I never crack this? What if the problem isn't the strategy — what if it's me?
You know that moment when you try to share a funny story and it just — doesn't land? You get to the punchline, you smile, you look up expecting the laugh. And they just blink at you. Politely confused. So you try to explain why it was funny, which makes it worse, and eventually you say: you just had to be there.
That is exactly what happens when you try to explain what you do.
People nod. They say "oh, interesting." But they don't reach for their wallet. And in the silence that follows you draw the only logical conclusion available — if it were really good, they'd get it. They're not getting it. So it must not be good enough. I must not be good enough.
Which is when you turn to ChatGPT. Because surely this is a wording problem. You get something polished and structured and professional. You read it back and think — that's not quite right either.
It doesn't sound like you. And it doesn't convert any better than the version that did.
Because ChatGPT wasn't there either.
She found a gap in the market and claimed it. Her presence is commanding, her packaging is immaculate, and whatever she's selling catches the light beautifully. Sparkly. Shiny. Compelling from a distance.
But at a closer look — and you have looked, because of course you have — what she's offering is pretty shallow. It doesn't transform anything. It's not a diamond. It's cheap glass with very good lighting.
And here you are with an actual diamond. Unpolished, maybe. Not yet positioned. Not catching anyone's light. Some days you're not even sure it's as valuable as you think it is.
So you dwell in the shadows. Quietly dreaming, journaling, envisioning — only to wake up to crickets and tumbleweed.
You don't want to be shallow. You know that. But you've watched shallow work. You know it converts. And somewhere underneath the ethics and the depth and the genuine desire to do good work, there's the question you keep cleaning your way around — do you have to become the thing you don't respect to be seen by the people you want to reach?

I know this terrain because I've lived in it. I arrived in America with two mid-size suitcases that contained my entire life, a few hundred dollars, and a visa valid for four months I had no intention of honouring, as it turned out.
My first job was washing cars in New Jersey in shorts that were apparently too short. My first home was half a bed in a room shared with five other women, living like kittens in a box.
None of it looked like the life I was building toward, or like an American Dream I came for from poverty in Ukraine. And for a long time, I couldn't make anyone else see what I could see — the value of what I'd lived through, the specific, hard-earned knowing that came from building something real from nothing, in a foreign language, in a country where I knew no-one.
My problem was never the story. It was the translation.
I spent years figuring out how to close that gap — between what I knew and what the right people could feel. This book is everything I learned. The real story of building life from nothing.
I wrote Your Story Is Your Power for the woman I was before I cracked this. The one who had the knowledge, the experience, the genuine desire to help people — and no idea why none of it was landing the way she knew it could.
If any of the mirrors above felt uncomfortably accurate — this book was written for you.
If you want to shift from
Extract your genius message
The specific, unrepeatable thing that only you can say — because only you have lived it. Not a niche. Not a positioning statement. The actual thread that runs through everything you know.
Close the translation gap
Turn what lives in your head — vivid, real, valuable — into language that lands in someone else's chest. The difference between people nodding politely and people reaching for their wallet.
Own the story you've been dismissing
The experiences you wave away as "just my background" or "not that interesting" are the foundation of everything. This book shows you how to see what's already there — and why it's worth more than you think.
Position your diamond
Stop competing with cheap glass. Find the audience that knows the difference and build the offer, the message, and the presence that makes them recognise you immediately as the person they've been looking for.
Get paid for being you
Not a polished, coached, AI-generated version of you. The specific, real, battle-worn, deeply capable person you already are. That's the work. And it has a completely different result than everything you've tried before.
The answer is simple
Your Personal Stories
Forget elevator pitches and sales techniques. Nothing beats the story that reflects your brilliance, often times unrecognised.
You can learn all the fancy tools, tactics, techniques and software solutions, but if you can't clearly express your message, you won't connect with your audience.
When you learn how to share your story people want to hear, you will naturally grow your vision and heart-aligned business.
You have a powerful message and inspirational stories to share with people who will connect with you because they resonate with you at a heart and soul level.
It is just discovering how to share your message using storytelling methods to attract and engage your audience's attention.
When you shift from the head to the heart space, following the proven methods, the magic of your message begins to unfold. Sometimes, it takes a bit of coaxing to get to the crux of your messaging but the rewards are mind-expanding and soul-fulfiling.
By expressing your uniqueness through stories
It allows you to
"Wow, you came to America on your own. You must be so brave."
People in the restaurants I worked at would say this to me regularly.
Yeah, thanks, I'd say — and then jokingly add: I am a little disappointed though. The streets in America are not paved with gold the way I heard in all those stories about the land of milk and honey.
I loved serving people who took a genuine interest in my story. Little did I know back then, those moments were clues about what I was actually meant to do with my life.
Although I was in the land of opportunities, none of those opportunities were handed to me. I worked hard. But I didn't mind, considering where I came from. Being born in a house with no toilet or running water, and being mocked and humiliated for my poverty among my peers — that was definitely worse than carrying trays in a restaurant.
I did a lot of jobs. Hustled a lot. Some of them make me smile now. English tutor for Russian kids. Translator. Essay writer for American college students who were apparently too busy to do their own homework. I smile because when I arrived in America I could barely speak English myself. It's amazing what you can do when survival is the only option on the table.
As much fun as some of it was — the waitressing, the translating, the tutoring — none of it was really me. And at times it wasn't fun at all.
I wanted something more. Something bigger. Like that dream I'd carried from poverty in Ukraine all the way to abundance in America — the one I'd actually, somehow, brought to life. I just didn't know yet what the next version of it looked like. I could feel it from the inside but couldn't quite put my finger on it. What exactly would bring me meaning, fulfilment, and money — and whoever says money isn't important, I have a story for you. Go and live in a bedbug-infested studio with no job and $200 left in your bank account, and then we shall talk.
It took quite a journey to figure it all out.
I wrote this book to show the path of that figuring out. And it has helped a lot of people figure their own stuff out too.

One of my beloved clients, Magda, was stuck emotionally and financially when we first started working together.
She couldn't identify or articulate her business concept. She just had big dreams, yet her personal limiting beliefs were clouding her ability to recognise and define the value she wanted to bring to the market place, using her talents and passions
"Everything is possible, but nothing is happening. I am sick and tired of being stuck" She would tell me
